Chapli Kebab is a traditional flat patty kebab that originated in the Pashtun regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan. The name 'Chapli' comes from the Pashto word for 'flat,' describing the distinctive shape of this kebab. Unlike cylindrical kebabs, Chapli Kebab is pressed into a wide, thin patty that allows for maximum surface area and a deliciously crispy crust.

At Kabul Restaurant, our Chapli Kebab is made with a carefully balanced mixture of ground meat, finely diced onions, fresh tomatoes, green chillies, coriander, and a blend of whole and ground spices including cumin, coriander seeds, and pomegranate seeds. The mixture is hand-shaped into patties and fried in a shallow pool of oil until beautifully crispy and golden. Served with fresh naan, salad, and chutney.
